August Planned Activities

 

South Cumberland planned activities for August 2008 are now online at

 
 

Buggytop Cave is on the schedule for August 9.  Canoeing at Grundy Lakes see August 10.

 

Summer Trail Crew Doing Great Work

New Fiery Gizzard & Buggytop Trail Map

As of June 9, 2008 we have a new Fiery Gizzard and Buggytop trail map which has been fully updated to current information.  The map is available as a full sized PDF download (2.27 mb) which opens in a new window.  See the park map page for more information. New maps are available at the Park next time you visit.

 
National Natural Areas Conference Coming to Tennessee
The Friends of South Cumberland are sponsors of this national event.
 
The 2008 Natural Areas Conference strikes a chord on Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2008, opening with the plenary session at the historic War Memorial Auditorium. Wednesday and Friday will provide a diverse program with 52 sessions and over 110 invited speakers providing symposia, training opportunities, and forums.
