A few quick news items for you today:

June Activities Are Now Online

Please visit www.friendsofscsra.org/activities.htm   There is a Cave Trip planned on June 6.

Friends Annual Meeting on June 13

Friends Board Meeting prior to the Annual Meeting
The Friends of South Cumberland Board of Directors will meet at the Visitors' Center.  Friends members are welcome to attend the meeting.

Friends of South Cumberland Annual Membership Meeting
Join the Friends Board, park staff and all your South Cumberland loving friends and neighbors at the Visitors' Center for food, fun, entertainment and election of officers as well as the presentation of the annual Jim Prince Award.  All friends members are welcome and if you are not a member it won't take us long to sign you up.

Pictures in the Park Photo Contest Ends May 30

The entries are rolling in and the deadline is at Midnight CDT Saturday May 30.  Your humble webmaster is going to work to have the photos available for judging late Sunday evening with announcements coming ASAP.  Recognition of winners and prizes will be awarded at the Friends annual meeting if all goes according to plan.  More to follow.

New Videos Online

Ben Cagle has been kind enough to provide us with three new videos that went online this past weekend.  One if the Trails and Trillium awards ceremony featuring Mack Prichard receiving the Harry Yeatman Award and Dr. Harry and Jean Yeatman receiving the surprise State Naturalist Award - the event was held April 19 at the Monteagle Inn.

Also, a video of Dr. Yeatman's hike lead on the Otter Loop Trail and another video of Mack Prichard leading a hike into Shakerag Hollow.
